because in hindsight, it's funny.

me: isn't it strange that the black macbook is $200 more than the white?
especially since most laptops are black or gray
Anne: that is weird
pretty ridiculous if I say so myself
me: yeah it is
but i want it to match my ipod!
but that seems stupid
Anne: what, matching your ipod or the extra cash?
me: the extra cash
matching my ipod is not stupid

If you are thinking about them, might want to wait until after labor day - good chance of updates on these things..... (www.macrumors.com - great place to go to give you reason to always wait...)

i know..that's the problem.. there is always something coming down the pike with apple, but i'm glad i didn't wait for the video ipod;)

oh anonymous poster, care to weigh in on mac vs. pc? i am still on the fence.

I think it's because gmail chat sucks...it's always disconnecting. That's why I always ask you if you've typed something because it will show me that you're typing and then I won't see anything.

Sorry... been way to busy with school and work....

I say pick the best tool for the job and your current tool chain - that is to say, if all the tools you use are for windows and they do not have suitable replacements on the mac (either in feature or price or both), then stick with windows.

Granted, my view is different from many mac users since i use windows, the mac, solaris, and many flavors of linux (Ubuntu at the moment mostly).

However, as far as the hardware, apple makes good stuff and is curruntly fairly competative on the pricing. And you can run windows on it. So, if one is inclided, take it for a test drive. Not much to lose (except money, but money being overrated and all....) Hope that helps.
