ah, amsterdam!

i know there are a couple people in amsterdam that read, and though i don't know how you got to me, i hope you enjoy your time here.

now, i need some help :) my upcoming paris trip will actually begin with a couple of days in amsterdam. right now, there is one question i cannot seem to find an answer to--i'm trying to figure out how far noordwijk is from amsterdam, and what is the best and most economical way to get there.

i'm coming up dry, so any assistance would be appreciated!

OK, I'm not in Amsterdam (or Holland, for that matter), but...
It depends on which Noordwijk you mean--looks like there are 3.

Noordwijk aan Zee is 46km (29 mi) from Amsterdam.
Zuidwolde : Noordwijk is 150km (94 mi).
Marum : Noordwijk is 166km (104 mi).

Any idea which one you need?

That would be Noordwijk aan Zee. Probably best way: take a train to Leiden, then bus (Keukenhof Express) to destination. A combination (bus) ticket+admission is €18 (about $25 in real money)

I'd expect the train fare from Amsterdam to be somewhere around €20-30 ($30-45)

Info cribbed from http://www.keukenhof.nl/nm/156/Practical-information-How-to-get-there.html
