I say Roth for sure as well--the return is way better in the long run--my father in law has always said--ROTH ira's are the way to go--he even went as far as to say that you need to do one every year--with the max amount--even if you have to borrow the money to open it! He says if you do this--you will be a millionaire in 25 years! I still have not done it--but have been told too--for 8 years now! LOL! I am pathetic!
I third the Roth. Our financial adviser says at this age, the only reason we would have for opening a traditional IRA would be if we were above the MAGI (max adjusted gross income). That's not a problem I think we'll have any time soon!
We've got Roths and it really is amazing how fast they multiply once you get going for a few years. Even if you can't fully fund (isn't the max up to 5k this year? or is it still 4k?) some is better than none.

oh honey. at our age ALWAYS a roth IRA. ALWAYS!!!
Think of it this way... would you rather be taxed now for a little? or taxed later for a WHOLE LOT MORE???
